Central Park Weddings
So many couples every year decide to get married in Central Park - and, it’s not a coincidence. This place is truly beautiful and offers so many opportunities for great wedding venues. From the South to the North and from the East to the West, there are so many wonderful locations here, each with their own atmosphere and style. The location is a timeless one and people who do get married in Central Park always have unforgettable experiences. Also, given its location in the heart of Manhattan, Central Park lives up to its name and is one of the most convenient spots in the city for commuting to. Another reason people love it is that there are so many spaces here that make the perfect backdrops for photo and video shoots. You can take shots of all kinds in the park: from ones with overhanging trees and blooming flowers in them to ones with classic skyscrapers or bridges in the backgrounds. Additionally, if one steps right outside the park it’s easy to take cool street shots, with yellow cabs and vintage building sides in them, which can contribute to showcasing that special New York City feeling we all love.
Given all this, it’s not surprising that Central Park weddings have become a tradition in New York for local couples. But guess what? Many visitors and guests to New York enjoy getting married here, too.
LOCATIONS
When planning your wedding, you may decide to just have a simple ceremony with only an officiant present or you may prefer to have a large-scale event with many guests. For either scenario, the place has got you covered. For a small ceremony you could choose any location you wanted and could even do your event somewhere like the middle of Bow Bridge or the Bethesda Terrace. We can also recommend amazing gardens for your wedding Сentral Park event where you can enjoy your wedding Central Park moment in a secluded romantic atmosphere, where the only sounds you might hear will be the singing of the local birds. For bigger weddings, you might need a space with more capacity in which case we can recommend certain gazebos, such as Cop Cot or Dene Summerhouse. Both these places have seating in them and come with partially covered roofs. If you have more than sixty guests, however, you might want to use one of the park’s lawns. A lawn at Central Park can fit about one hundred people and we can even bring in installation or rental items for you, such as arches for your ceremony. Every location in the park has its own name, which can make it easy to find as all one has to do is look on a map if lost, and its own history, which means that any location in the park you choose will be a special one.

SERVICES
Central Park isn’t just one more place to get married in among all the possible spots available to get married in. The park can actually be considered as its own unique micro-world, within the bustling metropolis that is Manhattan. The park also includes many elements that feel as if they belong to another time. Horse drawn carriages, for instance, line the street, in front of the park’s south end; and, for your event, we can even have a driver pick you up at an entrance gate on Central Park South and deliver you right to your designated ceremony spot. The driver will also be able to tell you some of the park’s history on route and will perhaps allow you to stop to snap some photos at. Additionally, another fact about the park that many people forget is that there are actually restaurants and places there where one can dine, like Tavern on the Green; and, there is also a lake where you can rent a boat and have a romantic adventure at. So, when you plan your elopement event with us, we can design more than just a ceremony for you but also a special itinerary for how you and your partner can best spend your important day.
Central Park throughout the Four Seasons
In New York City, you can feel comfortable during all four seasons - as long as you are prepared. And, we can say with confidence, the park will welcome you no matter what the season is for your Central Park wedding.
FALL
New York is beautiful in every season, but many locals routinely say autumn is their absolute favorite time of year here. We also consider fall to be one of the best times of year for scheduling a Central Park wedding in. At this time, gold and red trees line the Park’s walkways and, given all the colors one can see in the foliage this time of year, a stroll through the park can feel just like a walk in a romantic dream. Just imagine now, if you will, the path ahead of you covered with fallen leaves from yellowed trees as you pass along seamlessly, hearing only the rustle of the wind around you. This picture is one of warmth, romance, and calm, all elements we love to see emphasized in the Central Park weddings we plan. The early part of the fall, such as late August through September, can also be described as a special transition time and we love seeing couples plan weddings in this frame, as then they can have events that combine both a vibrant summer feel and a cool autumn charm.
WINTER
Winter in New York can be described as a season for celebrations. Chanukah, Christmas, and New Year’s are the three big holidays that happen at this time. Many couples decide to get married during this time as this is when the whole city fills with a special kind of magic not otherwise present. Decorations and lights adorn all the major storefronts and plazas and, of course, Central Park is one of those places where you can truly feel the Christmas spirit at. Have you ever wanted to get married in front of the famous Plaza Hotel that has been featured in so many well-known movies including Eloise and Home Alone II? Or, what about scheduling a sledding or skating adventure as part of your wedding Central Park event? The park itself can also be especially gorgeous in winter and, when we do get snow days, the snow can make the park look just as it does in those classic winter postcard scenes we all love. During such days, we can provide you with everything you might need to keep your spirits up—like hot tea or cocoa; and, we can recommend select car services that will be able to drive you through the snow covered streets after your ceremony so you can best explore the city after your magical event takes place.
SPRING
Spring has its own unique spirit that makes it a favorite season for many! Spring brings to life the wonderful plant life that has been “asleep” all winter and, at this time of year, it always feels as if New Yorkers, too, come alive with new vibrancy and spirit! The Shakespeare Garden in Central Park, one of our preferred wedding venue locations for Central Park weddings, is an especially amazing place to see during this time. This garden is home to hundreds of flowers, bushes, and trees that attract butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and other wildlife throughout the season. But, even outside of Shakespeare’s Garden, there are tons of wonderful flora and plant life to see all throughout the park at this time. In the springtime, for example, the magnolia trees will bloom and the sakura trees will have their season - and, you will also have a chance to decorate your bouquet with peonies that only become available at this time. Many couples we know love them, and they are always in high demand.
SUMMER
Summertime, just the word alone speaks for itself. Summer in New York is always hot, bright and exciting and, while many Manhattaners tend to leave the city for more pleasant seaside locals at this time, it’s, of course, one of our favorite seasons for scheduling Central Park weddings at. During the summertime, we believe couples who get married in the park can get the most out of their Central Park Wedding Packages. If, for example, you had been dreaming of getting married in New York City for a while, but do not want to spend a lot of money for your event, then a Central Park summer wedding option is for you. You can have a perfect outdoor experience during this season—full of fun, sun, and adventure. And, we at Perfect Wedding NYC, are pleased to be able to provide all the necessary services to ensure that your special day goes well. During this season, you will also have a full range of seasonal flowers to choose from for your wedding bouquet—or, boutonnière, and you can also take a trip to The Delacorte Theater after your ceremony to watch a Shakespeare in the Park play by the side of your new life partner.
